Classroom

GD Goenka, Shahjahanpur has left no stone unturned to integrate technology in the learning spectrum so as to give unbridled advantage to our students. Each classroom is equipped with interactive smart boards and projector screens to transform into an enhanced learning space. The students are given the opportunity to delve deeper into subject matters and learn abstract curriculum concepts through highly engaging visuals and animations. With the large repository of digital content available in different formats, our classrooms allow the learners to fully immerse themselves into the learning experience

Computer Laboriatories:

The importance of technology cannot be overstated in today’s world. With the latest gadgets and software springing every day, it is inevitable to lose the track if one is not keeping up with it. The school has a Montessori lab, a junior computer lab and a senior computer lab to cater to students at different levels. Montessori lab is meant for pre-primary children and contain resources as per the curriculum. The other two labs are equipped with advanced infrastructure to fulfil the requirements of the curriculum, students and teachers.

Yoga & Meditation :

As quoted by Sadguru “Meditation is a simple process, but it needs unbridled involvement or absolute Abandon.” At GDGPS we believe, emotional well-being and spiritualism is of equal importance when it comes to the holistic growth of a child. The calm and serene Yoga and meditation room is the epitome for such a development.

Swimming Pool / Splash Pool

The Semi-Olympic Size, Indoor swimming pool has been designed for the aquanauts who would want to hit the Olympics soon. The all-weather pool provides an opportunity to the swimmers to delve deeper to the learning without thinking about the rain-pours and winter chills.

Tech Marvel – The Robotics Lab:

Witness the future unfold in our Robotics Lab, the first of its kind in our vibrant city. A place where knowledge blends with hands-on-experience. Here, students don’t just learn about technology; they become the architects of tomorrow. From coding to creating aircrafts and dummy buildings, this space sparks innovation and transforms dreams into tangible realities. Their innovation out of imagination at the lab will not be confined to the school building, they will be free to carry their creation home to showcase it to the world.

Corridor view:

One of the key principles which we decided to set the design on, is the desire to go beyond the classroom and also to take advantage of the corridors, which must not be conceived only as pathways, leading to all the utilities, rather as spaces which are vibrant and engaging and sure to spark curiosity. CCTV surveillance with full access and control of specified areas with continuous monitoring is one of the salient feature of our school.

Reception:

School reception area is the heart of the school. It ensures to provide a welcoming yet vibrant feel to everyone entering the premises. It is a fully functioning workstation accessible for all the visitors and parents. G.D. Goenka Public School has a beautifully decorated and huge reception area, which is used to greet all the visitors and to provide a comfortable waiting area for them.

Conference Room:

The school has an aesthetically, appealing and spacious conference hall. It is equipped with the state of the art audio-visual conference equipments. It can be used for various purposes, including lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences, professional meetings and boardroom meetings.

Steam Laboratory:

The STEAM lab is equipped with the most advanced and renowned educational kits. This laboratory is a full-integrated learning environment where every resource including the design and the furniture is a part of the curriculum so as to support hands-on and minds-on learning. The lab offers collaborative working spaces, and equipment for all learning levels. It allows learners to investigate and engineer solutions to problems, and construct evidence-based explanations of real-world phenomena.

Art & Sculpture Rooms:

The art curriculum focuses on promoting the aesthetic and emotional growth of our children. Our Art room is the space which provide learners with the space and resources for their creative expressions. The room displays different types of art work prepared by our students such as folk-art work- Madhubani Art, Warli Art, Gond Art, Mandala Art; Modern Art work and Abstract Art work. The school also has a dedicated sculpture room where students learn pottery and clay modelling. The room also offers a unique collection of sculptures crafted by students.

Montessori Laboratory:

Montessori Lab is meant for the pre-primary students. This lab has been primarily designed to develop the gross and fine motor skills of young children. A number of Montessori Practical Life Activities are conducted in the lab. Montessori Practical Life activities are an important part of the pre-primary curriculum. These are activities of real-life that help children feel comfortable and interact appropriately and productively with their environment. Work mats are used to delineate a child’s work area. Work mat activities teach children how to unroll and roll work mats, as well as how to walk carefully around the workspace of others. Opening and Closing containers – through this activity, children gain a skill and get fine motor practice.

Cafeteria:

The School Cafeteria has a designated staff of cooks, helpers and servers. The Catering Manager is under vigilant supervision of the school authorities. Healthy, attractive meals are packed and served that are child-friendly and of high nutrition value. No ‘junk food’ or ‘colas’ is served as part of School policy. The Cafeteria follows strict standards of hygiene and safety. Three designated breaks are scheduled for Primary, Middle and Senior school. All staff members and students have access to tea and coffee dispensers. Only mineral water is served in the School Cafeteria.

Mineral water is provided to all the students and staff in disposable glasses through dispensers kept at all strategic locations all over the building.

Play Fields:

Play fields are the heart & soul of an institution or an establishment since they are the bulwarks of a healthy society. As a matter of fact our school has rich networks of courts & playfields. The facilities available are briefly described:-

Football, Basket Ball, foose Ball, Law Tennis, Badminton, Board Game, Indoor game, Yoga, Shooting, Athletics, Table Tennise And Pool Room.
